Deptford Landings Plot 6 Affordable Housing
189 new Passivhaus homes across three blocks providing a mixture of affordable rent and shared ownership. This project is part of the wider Deptford Landings masterplan, a regeneration project of a former industrial site in Deptford, London.
Our Role: Passivhaus Consultancy, Overheating Analysis, SAP & Part L compliance RIBA Stages 5-7 appointed by the Contractor
Deptford Landings is Peabody Trust’s first Passivhaus development, designed to deliver exceptional energy efficiency and comfort for future residents. The project incorporates centralised heat pumps connected to an ambient loop, minimising heat distribution losses. Each dwelling is equipped with underfloor heating, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) and a highly efficient fabric, all while achieving the stringent airtightness standards required by Passivhaus
As part of our role, Delta Q undertook a rationalisation of the thermal elements as a cost-saving exercise, ensuring that the project maintained its high-performance standards while optimizing budget efficiency. Our team worked closely with the contractor to ensure that the project adhered to the rigorous standards of Passivhaus certification, focusing on energy efficiency, comfort, and sustainability.
We also conducted detailed overheating analysis to ensure the building will maintain optimal internal temperatures throughout the year. Furthermore, we are providing essential SAP calculations and ensuring full Part L compliance, helping the project meet all necessary regulations for energy performance.
Throughout construction Delta Q are providing ongoing support and guidance, focusing on workmanship and evidence collection for Passivhaus, ensuring that the project meets its sustainability targets and delivers a high-performance, low energy building.
