Project details:
Hazelmead is a 53 unit community housing development over nine buildings, on the edge of Bridport, Dorset. Delta Q were appointed by main contractor C G Fry to provide building energy advice and certify the buildings to the AECB Building Standard.
The buildings are of timber frame design, constructed as SiPs panels brought to site with windows installed by Sevenoaks Modular. The buildings have direct electric heating with domestic hot water heat pumps. All buildings have a large PV array which is part of a micro-grid with localised battery storage.
We have undertaken PHPP & thermal bridge modelling, advised on airtightness detailing and sequencing, advised on heating, domestic hot water and ventilation equipment and design and supported the site team in achieving airtightness, gap free insulation, mechanical systems installation and evidence gathering.
All buildings are now complete and certified to the AECB Building Standard.
